
SMP Islam Al Azhar 3 Bintaro successfully won the Honorable Award in the 2025 Asian Students Exchange Program (ASEP) in Taiwan, December 22-30, 2025. This award is the highest achievement in the event.
ASEP is a project-based and problem-based program integrated with ICT. This program combines collaboration between schools that raises a theme prepared by the committee (Kaohsiung Education Bureau) and English presentations between schools.
This event was attended by the delegations from various countries in Asia consisting of China, the Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam. A total of 45 schools spread across these countries participated in gathering and forming teams of 62 teams.
The Asian Students Exchange Program (ASEP) is routinely held every year in December with different themes that are very relevant to students’ lives. This year the theme is “Net Zero Green Lifestyle”. This encourages and invites students to play a role in helping the world community understand the importance of implementing an environmentally friendly lifestyle.
A total of 9 students from SMP Islam Al Azhar 3 Bintaro participated in this program. They were divided into 2 groups. The first group is the presentation group and the second is the group that performed Indonesian culture.
The presentation group raised the issue of problems faced by many big cities in the world including Jakarta, namely how to reduce traffic jams. Meanwhile, the Indonesian cultural performance group performed a variety of typical Indonesian dances.
In the ASEP 2025 program, the SMP Islam Al Azhar 3 Bintaro delegation collaborated with its sister school in Taiwan, namely Municipal Fushan Junior High School. This teaches students about tolerance and appreciation for cultural differences, cross-country friendship, and global communication skills.
Furthermore, during this program, the SMP Islam Al Azhar 3 Bintaro delegation stayed at the host family of students from Municipal Fushan Junior High School
